    • Avoid alcohol and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (to minimum post-procedure bruising)

    • If you can, please do not wear makeup on the day of treatment

    • Excess hair may need to be shaved. Men should be cleanly shaved

    • No sun-tanning or self-tanners 4 weeks prior to treatment

    • Includes spray tans, tanning lotions, tanning beds, sun exposure, etc.

    • Avoid skin irritants (examples below) a few days before and after treatment

    • Products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids (popular ingredient is facial cleansers), vitamin C/ascorbic acid, astringents, etc.

    • If you have taken any blood thinners, please advise your clinician before treatments

    • If prone to cold sores, an antiviral is recommended such as Valtrex 1 week before your appointment

    • Wear SPF 30 or greater

    • You will be given a post-procedure aftercare kit, it is the client’s responsibility to follow aftercare instructions for optimal healing

    • Avoid heat- hot tubs, saunas, etc. for 1-2 days

    • Avoid sun exposure that day and use a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to prevent further sun damage

    • Wait at least 4 hours before washing your face or applying creams or makeup to the treatment area
